Ever since I was young, I loved all kinds of crafts. Probably since my teens, I’ve loved cross-stitching. My mom’s house is filled with pieces I’ve made & framed. I love buying the magazines in stores with the cute/cool designs to make (rather than the ready-made packages).
Probably my pièce de résistance (pictured) is the one I made a couple years ago for my boyfriend’s mother for a belated Christmas gift (I tried to finish it in 2 months.. didn’t quite make it for December, but finally got it to her in March!)
Anyway, life gets busy and I hadn’t worked on anything in a while. One set I was working on is from Michael Powell. I originally saw one of his designs in the craft magazine that I purchased. Made it, and loved the funky jagged design. So I went on his site and bought two more matching “European” scenery ones. Can’t wait till I get around to finishing it… it’s going to look great!
My friend posted a link on her Facebook yesterday of an Etsy shop that made cute little cross-stitch patterns of famous characters! Wee Little Stitches is just the cutest thing ever! I bought 4 patterns earlier today and can’t wait till they get emailed to me 🙂 I got the 3 Harry Potter ones and the Big Bang Theory one. I asked her about whether the cast of Lost and/or Glee was in the horizon, and she said it’s being worked on 😉 Love it. They’re just too cute.
