Yesterday was the long-awaited Glee concert! Making their only Canadian stop on their tour, they’re doing 4 shows (2 on Saturday, 2 on Sunday) in Toronto.
What a great time! We were quite far up, so my friends and I said that next time we’ll splurge a bit more to get closer and actually see their faces. But thank goodness for my camera and its zoom! (Not my SLR one tho.. don’t have a zoom lens yet..) The pics came out a bit blurry, but surprisingly not as bad as I thought it would be.
Harry Shum Jr. (plays Mike Chang) is in a dance group called LXD and they opened the show.. amazing dancing! (They’ve got an online web series) Nearing the end of the intermission, about 5 minutes before the concert was to start, there were Cheerios that came out with something in their hand that they were randomly giving away to people. We couldn’t quite see what it was, but my friend said they looked like airplane barf bags. Sure enough, Sue comes on the big screen and says that the Cheerios are handing out Sue’s Barf Bags for how bad the Glee kids’ concert is going to be.. LOL. Nice touch!
I wasn’t sure what I was expecting, but I guess I thought they’d just be themselves! Like, the actual actors who are in the show rather than keep up the characters. (ie. Kevin McHale/Artie had to perform in his wheelchair still!) but I guess with the younger crowd that’s there, they might not understand it’s just a show? When Blaine & the Warblers came out onstage, the arena went NUTS. AND they were on the solo island stage closer to where we were sitting too! LOVE THEM! (So much so that I bought a Warblers t-shirt at the concert.. )
Here’s a few of the pics that I took yesterday! Wish they were a bit clearer tho…
