Not much time to write today so I’ll just leave you with a photo (to come.. Pic uploading isn’t working on my phone right now) and funny story from our Broadway show last night.
John Laroquette’s character is having a quick-paced scene with Daniel Radcliffe and at one point calls him “Mr Wizard”. The audience applauds thinking it’s a nudge-nudge-wink-wink joke, but then when you see the faces of the two of them, breaking character, you realize it was totally an accidental slip! Even better – the audience went CRAZY!! They were trying so hard to get back into the dialogue that was leading up to a really rigorous dance sequence too.
Fantastic show though. Funny and everyone was amazing in it! Such a great time. 🙂
Strangely enough, it doesn’t end there! As we’re leaving the theatre, a guy was handing out invites to a taping of Anderson Cooper’s new talk show. We joked around with him that he actually sounded like Anderson Cooper himself, and got each other’s names and thought we’d check it out since we didn’t have any set plans for today.
There was a taping at 10:15am and one at 2pm.. We got into the city and made it for the 2pm taping. After lining up from 12:15pm on, we noticed everyone had email confirmations – and we only had a little flyer this guy handed us off the street. We waited it out a bit, and once we got up to the 6th floor at the Time Warner Center, we actually saw the guy there (who looked to be quite important actually). Asked him about it and he said we don’t need it. Lined up for a while longer, and as they were seating us, our new friend sat us in one of the reserved “production” seats right in the 2nd row, centre! So amazing. The show we watched was more a serious, heartfelt true-life bunch of stories with several women. However, a passing comment was made since there were some people in the audience who was at the earlier taping. Turns out Daniel Radcliffe was the guest on that morning!! Are you kidding me?? Had we have known, or thought to leave earlier to go, we would’ve had quite the surprise when the taping begun!
Nonetheless, it was a fantastic experience. Thank you to our new friend Dana for his ticket invite & hooking us up with great seats.
And yes, Anderson’s eyes really are that dreamy blue (as he was a few feet away from us, and passed behind us a few times). 😉
