313/365: Waiting on Wednesday 3

I sporadically participate in Waiting on Wednesdays (weekly meme hosted by Breaking the Spine) but this week, after seeing so many fantastic sequels at the Ontario Book Bloggers Meet-Up, I had to select this book to feature.

Granted, like my previous WoW of Clockwork Prince, I actually hadn’t read the first one yet though I hear it’s amazing. Same situation here. ;) I haven’t read Delirium yet (I know, I know… I’m reading it after my review books are done!) but from the amazing reviews I’ve heard from that first book, this sequel is sure to not disappoint either.

Pandemonium (Delirium, #2)
by Lauren Oliver

From Goodreads:
I’m pushing aside the memory of my nightmare,
pushing aside thoughts of Alex,
pushing aside thoughts of Hana and my old school,
push,
push,
push,
like Raven taught me to do.
The old life is dead.
But the old Lena is dead too.
I buried her.
I left her beyond a fence,
behind a wall of smoke and flame.

Lauren Oliver delivers an electrifying follow-up to her acclaimed New York Times bestseller, delirium. This riveting, brilliant novel crackles with the fire of fierce defiance, forbidden romance, and the sparks of a revolution about to ignite.

Pandemonium is available March 6th, 2012

Comments

  1. I need to read Delirium too! Probably after I read Clockwork Angel, but then again, who knows.

  2. I can’t wait to read Clockwork Prince…love Cassandra Clare. Pandemonium, however, I won’t be reading. I wasn’t crazy about the Delirium. Not for me, even though everyone else seemed to love it. You should still give Delirium a try though, I’m in the very small minority. :)

  5. YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  6. I subscribe to your blog, so imagine my surprise when you posted Pandemonium when I had just listed that as a great choice for my Giveaway Hop!! *ahem!* It’s much more funner to win books available NOW. That was a largish woopsidoodles on my part.

So happy I get your blog delivered to my in-box!! :-)

Not meaning to copy you, but feeling obliged to fix my mistake, I’ve posted Wow w/ Pandemonium and fixed the Giveaway to suggest Delirium. It’s November, is all I can say for myself, which means NaNo-ing and it’s hard to write like a maniac AND think, too.

  7. Great pick, I cant wait to read this

  8. I am little wary of this one after *sniffles* Delirium.
