In My Mailbox 34

meme hosted by The Story Siren

Okay, so week 3 of my self-imposed book-buying ban didn’t fair AS well as the past 2 weeks, but still not bad! I also got a couple books for my Paris month, but that’ll have to wait until I reveal during April :)

And if you missed it from this past week, I talk about my latest obsession with Draw Something, a recap of Leah Bobet’s launch party for Above and the crazy moment I started a heated debate on the bus between strangers because I offered up my seat. I’ve also reblogged some of my “crazy” stories over to a new blog called “Catnip for Crazies” (as affectionately dubbed by my former roommate) LOL

Bitten (Women of the Otherworld, #1) by Kelley Armstrong <– Bought 1) because it’s set in Toronto apparently, and 2) so I could pass to Wendy (A Cupcake and a Latte) for her to get signed for me since I won’t be here when Kelley is doing her book signing!

The Earthquake Machine by Mary Pauline Lowry <– Received for read & review from the author.

Exposed: A Novel by Ashley Weis <– Free for Kindle on Wednesday!

Pretty Amy by Lisa Burstein <– eARC for read & review from publisher

The Girl Who Could Silence the Wind by Meg Medina <– ARC gifted to me from Wendy!

Gone (Gone, #1) by Michael Grant <– Bought at BMV for $1.99!! Ridiculous! Wendy was paying for another amazing find and while I was waiting outside for her, spotted this in pristine condition!

The Calling (Darkness Rising, #2) by Kelley Armstrong <– Received for read & review from the publisher

And, although I didn’t get Above this week, I did go to Leah Bobet’s launch party and got my book signed!

AND Sara (Geek Girl’s Book Blog) stopped by her local beauty store and picked me up the two Hunger Games nailpolishes I wanted (and couldn’t seem to find anywhere!)

Hunger Games collection in "Dress Me Up" and "Agro"

What did you guys get this week? Leave your link and I’ll be sure to check it out!

  11. Hi there, you have some nice titles here, but the one that I am particularly envious of is the one by Meg Medina: The Girl who could Silence the Wind. It sounds like magical realism at its finest, and the book cover is glorious! Have fun with your new reads!

  16. I love all the Women of the Otherworld books. The later ones aren’t as good, but Bitten and Stolen are absolutely amazing. I think they’re what first got me in to urban fantasy!
