After last week’s Toronto Comic Arts Festival, I went on a graphic novels kick this week!
Besides the fact that I FINALLY got around to reading Divergent (and loved it!), I also posted my review of another good read, Masque of the Red Death and had a lovely Friday afternoon with some book shopping, ice-cream and patio drinks with Evie (Bookish) and Wendy (A Cupcake and a Latte)! (Yay patio pic!)
Plus, there’s still a bit of time left to enter my Paris Month wrap-up giveaway, with 2 Paris prize packs to be won! Ends on Monday at noon EST!
Glitch by Heather Anastasiu <– eARC for read & review from publisher
House of Night (graphic novel) by P.C. Cast <– eARC of graphic novel for read & review from publisher. I read the first 5 of the actual series, thought it was okay but wanted to check out what the comic was like.
Tune: Vanishing Point by Derek Kirk Kim <– eARC graphic novel for read & review from publisher.
Sailor Twain: Or: The Mermaid in the Hudson by Mark Siegel <– eARC graphic novel for read & review from publisher.
172 Hours on the Moon by Johan Harstad <– Bought w/birthday giftcard. Interest was piqued after hearing how creepy it was from fellow bloggers!
Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter by Seth Grahame-Smith <– Bought w/birthday giftcard. I’m definitely curious to this store, but admittedly am completely enthralled with that book cover/movie poster. LOVE it.
Distant Waves: A Novel of the Titanic by Suzanne Weyn <– Bought w/birthday giftcard. As previously mentioned before, I love stories about the Titanic. Meant to pick this up a while back…
The Taker by Alma Katsu <– Bought at BMV for only $6.99!
Silence (The Queen of the Dead, #1) by Michelle Sagara <– Bought at World’s Biggest Bookstore. Set in Toronto, looking forward to reading it!
The Da Vinci Code: Special Illustrated Edition by Dan Brown <– Bought at BMV for only $4.99! I’ve read it, have the paperback & hardcover but I also have the hardcover illustrated edition of Angels & Demons, and this is a paperback one, but can’t beat the price!
With Mother’s Day weekend coming up, and seeing a lot of family – I decided to put together a photobook of my Paris pictures to showcase (rather than have people gather around a computer screen for hundreds of pictures) .. Ordered it through Elephoto on Sunday night and it already arrived on Tuesday morning! It seriously took more time deciding on pics, uploading and placing them in the layout I wanted than it did to produce and ship!
I also went on a bit of a Melissa-brand shoe-buying craze.. I bought a pair (the top nude-coloured pair in the picture) in Paris, and they’re SO comfortable. Bought the sparkly silver ones for my sister’s wedding, and then saw the black & gold pair, and I couldn’t decide so I bought them both. Uber comfortable and uber cute!
And how could I forget, I also picked up these super cute Adjective icons from Parajunkee! Just waiting for my icon/header order to be done so I can update the whole blog all at once!
Shadows on the Moon by Zoë Marriott <– Gifted ARC from Wendy 🙂
What did you get this week? Leave your link and I’ll be sure to check it out too! 🙂
Thanks for stopping by!
