The start of the London Olympics means it’s a surge of Canadian pride throughout the country! I unfortunately didn’t catch most of the opening ceremony, but I’m sure it’ll be on repeat throughout the weekend. (I hear J.K. Rowling was there!)
A few Canadian Olympic-mania features I wanted to call out to…
- You already know about the Random House Canada Olympic Readathon that I wrote about the other day. If you haven’t signed up to participate yet, it’s not too late!
- Indigo is also celebrating the red & white pride by offering a double-points promotion whenever we win a medal!

Oh wow! I love that Chapters is doubling the discount/points every time we win a gold medal! Except… if we do quite well, my to-read pile will not be doing well
Thanks for posting! I would probably have not known about this otherwise!
Actually, I think it’s ANY medal!!! (Better find some more room on those shelves!!
hehe)

Great post!! That’s awesome that Indigo is doing that promotion. Even though I am US, go Canada and go USA lol!! After the NBC fail last night during the opening ceremonies I am almost ashamed to be American though. Can I be adopted Canadian instead.
