How’s everyone’s summers treating them so far? It’s been a rainy few days here in Toronto – which is much needed after the hot dry July we had! A few things from this past week.. I swooned over the hotties of True Blood in Swoon-Worthy Sundays, shared the Top 10 posts most reflective of who I am in Top 10 Tuesday, my “I can’t believe it took me this long to read it” review of This Dark Endeavour, my recap of The Tutu Project – an art exhibit from the National Ballet and – the most exciting – my recap of The Bloggess’ visit to Toronto! Plus – only a few more days to enter for your chance to win a signed copy of The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry!
Hmmmmm what else is new……? Oh. That’s right! I changed up my blog layout!! Quite different from my previous one, but I couldn’t resist this gorgeous design by Viva La Violette! What do you guys think??
For Review

Mystic City by Theo Lawrence <– eARC for read & review from publisher.
The Black Isle by Sandi Tan <– eARC for read & review from publisher. I originally saw this featured by Christa (Hooked on Books) and couldn’t believe I hadn’t heard of it till now. A creepy ghost story set in Shanghai? Sounds right up my alley!
On the Island by Tracey Garvis-Graves <– eARC for read & review from publisher. The premise for this sounds fantastic.. and how appropriate to go with my blog theme!
Spookygirl: Paranormal Investigator by Jill Baguchinsky <– ARC for read & review from publisher. SO excited for this read! Those of you who know me know I LOVE the show Ghost Hunters and all kinds of ghost stories… this is perfect!
Purchased

Eating the Dinosaur by Chuck Klosterman <– Purchased on sale from Chapters. I enjoyed his other books like Sex, Drugs and Cocoa Puffs (which I originally discovered after I read that Lost‘s Jorge Garcia enjoyed it!)
Free Four: Tobias Tells the Story (Divergent, 1.1) by Veronica Roth <– A small ebook telling Four’s POV! (Grab it for your ereader, here!)
The Marriage Price by Alma Katsu <– “Purchased” on Amazon Kindle when it was free for a few days. (Granted, it’s only $0.99 now)
Gifted

Jubilee by Shelley Harris <– Won from Book Depository via Twitter! I forgot I won this and was so excited when it arrived. It sounds really interesting and kinda reminiscent of The Kite Runner – one of my favourite books!
What did you get this week? Leave your link and I’ll be sure to check it out too!
Thanks for stopping by!
