Top 10 Favorite Authors In X Genre

Rather than pick a specific genre, I thought I’d share my Top 10 8 Favourite Authors in “My Childhood” Genre! (I blanked and couldn’t think of 2 more….)

   

  1. Ann M. Martin | Babysitter’s Club <– I’ve probably read every single one of these!
  2. R.L. Stine | Fear Street <– LOVED these thrillers.. and so excited for his new book!
  3. Eric Wilson | Tom & Liz Austen Mysteries <– Oh, all those Canadiana mysteries! He was the first author I ever met!
  4. Christopher Pike | Remember Me series <– One series out of many others I’ve read of his.. (I remember one cover of a girl drowning in the water? Can’t remember which one that was tho..)
  5. Francine Pascal | Sweet Valley High
  6. Archie Comics | assorted <– Oh, I read all sorts of this comics.. the thin ones, the Digest/Double Digest ones.. I loved the “Veronica Goes to..” series.. had Canada, Hawaii and a few others.
  7. Donald J. Sobel | Encyclopedia Brown <– OMG I loved this series of books!
  8. Robert Munsch | all <– Such classics.

    The Christopher Pike book you’re thinking of is Gimme A Kiss. It’s tres awesome.

    I’m pretty sure I’ve read all of the BCS and SVH books. If you like SVH, you should check out 1bruce1

  3. Robert Munsch- one of my favorite children’s authors of ALL TIME!

    Love You Forever is a classic in my house. Every now and then my mom will read it to me (even though I’m 24) and she gets all teary-eyed every time! When I was a kid, Purple, Green, and Yellow was my favorite.

    I was also very fond of R.L. Stine Fear Street books (and his choose your own adventure series), and I also loved the Babysitter’s Club :D
