If you were one of the quick-eyed people on Twitter that spotted the few brief tweets about RSVPing to an event with Deborah Harkness, then you’ll have been part of the small intimate group that met up at l’ouvrier kitchen bar last Friday evening. Hosted by Kobo and Penguin Canada, it was a lovely casual meet & greet in the Dundas West restaurant, with delicious food and wine picked out by Ms Deb Harkness herself. Shortly after 7pm, the guest of honour arrived and was greeted with an enthusiastic and appreciative group. Because it was an intimate event, Deb had the opportunity to actually go around and chat with the guests, sign some books and take some photos.

The adorable Kobo & Deborah Harkness book cookies were courtesy of The Cookie Messenger (and were DELICIOUS.)
Thank you to the Kobo team who were such great hosts (and an extra thank you to Tracy who was so worried that Christa, Wendy and I had tried enough of the delicious food!), the group at Penguin Canada, the staff at l’ouvrier kitchen bar and Deb Harkness for a fantastic evening on an otherwise rainy night.

That sounds like it was a great event. She signed at my local book shop a little while back, but I had to cancel on going for some reason.
