Review: Revelations (Blue Bloods #3) by Melissa de la Cruz

bluebloods3With her mom in a coma basically since she was born and her newly-found grandfather running off to Rio for a Blue Bloods emergency, Schuyler is left to live with the Force family. Being under the same roof as Mimi, her nemesis and Jack, her forbidden crush is torture in more ways than one.  When word gets out among the Blue Bloods that Schuyler’s grandfather is in need of assistance in Rio, many of them make their way there to protect the sacred land and ensure the evil that’s been trapped there doesn’t escape.

Wow, is this book ever the game-changing installment of the series so far! So much happens in the shortest full-length book of the 7-book series. Secret dalliances, murder and jet-setting adventures in Brazil, Revelations has certainly developed into more than just a fluff “New York socialites”-type story.

Without giving away too much, I absolutely enjoyed the darker turn this book takes. The various love triangles, the forbidden nature of some relationships, and the turn of events that make the title of the book very apropos. There are many revelations about various plot lines and characters that change the course of where the rest of the series will go. This series just keeps getting better, more addictive and ever-evolving as it goes along!

  1. I didn’t read your review since it’s the third book in the series, but I did see you rated it really well. I think I will have to pick up this series eventually.
