As I’ve done in previous years, when the nominees come out for various award shows I’ll share the nominees list and make my picks on who I want to win and who I think will win. I used to do the full list, but last year I started only including the main ones or the ones I was interested in as the post was getting quite lengthy and cluttered. (This year’s official downloadable list of nominees was 71 pages long!)
There are certainly a lot of the same shows popping up in a lot of the categories (and a lot of ones I was hoping to see that aren’t there). For the first time ever, shows from Netflix online are nominated – House of Cards and Arrested Development! I definitely feel House of Cards is going to be a big hit this year at the Emmy’s.. I’m quite surprised to see American Horror Story lead overall in # of nominations! And definitely bummed about the lack of New Girl and Suits recognition on the list.
There are definitely categories that I left blank, as I haven’t seen the shows or have enough to make a pick.
UNDERLINE = who I WANT to win | ITALICS = who I think WILL win
Who are you rooting for?
Which shows are you happy about and which did you think got snubbed?
