I was totally behind on posting my picks this year, having only shared them a few days ago, but here is the recap/thoughts/results of this year’s Golden Globe Awards.
Amy & Tina killed it again in the opener. Last year, their best zinger was probably at James Cameron. This year’s was probably the one at George Clooney and Gravity. I don’t think I stopped laughing until Sandra Bullock (with “Tam Honks”!) came up on stage to present the first award in the most boring monotone voice. #buzzkill
I know it’s the usual order they present the awards, but why are the supporting female roles seemingly always blown through in the first chunk? Especially with a comedic female duo hosting, you’d think they could switch it up now and then. The segue with Tina and her “son” Randy was hilarious. So much joking around about Matt Damon too, by Amy & Tina, Melissa & Jimmy, and himself. “Hi, I’m the garbage man. Who apparently forgot his glasses.”
Some great (and bizarre) wardrobe choices. Tina & Amy looked gorgeous, but I thought Emma Stone’s dress was just… odd. It looked casual from afar, but then up close it was like a sparkly sweatshirt with a weird skirt..?
Wow, AND they kept it on time! Ended with one minute to spare!

How did your picks do? The ones that seemed to win were my picks of who I thought would win, not the ones I wanted to win. Ah well.
