It’s that time again… I can’t believe this is already the fifth Paris Month! It’s been quite the year in this iconic city, the world watched in horror and disbelief that day in November as the beloved home to so many memories for so many people was shaken. And yet, the people’s resilience and love prevailed through all of it. Paris Month feels different for me this year. Even if it’s only for me, it holds a different significance to put this together this time around.
So what exactly IS Paris Month?
It’s an annual event that takes place here on this blog every April where I showcase and feature all things to do with the City of Light. Originally started to commemorate my first trip to France in 2012, I ended up making this blog event a yearly thing because I enjoyed it so much. In the past 5 years, Paris Month has welcomed authors such as Paula McLain (The Paris Wife), Amy Plum (Die For Me), Elizabeth Ross (Belle Epoque), Page Morgan (The Beautiful and the Cursed) and many more. With interviews and guest posts, book reviews, giveaways and posts about other Parisiany things I love, a (relatively) spontaneous idea has become such a fantastic opportunity for me to openly obsess (moreso than I already do) about this beautiful city. What to expect with Paris Month 2016!
As with every year, there will be features and reviews on a number of current and upcoming books set in Paris. This April will also welcome a variety of guest posts from authors and blogger friends, as well as some fantastic Paris-themed weekly giveaways! So be sure to stop by and follow along on social media with #ParisMonth.
I, once again, redesigned my header this year and this is definitely my favourite so far. It fits the new look of my site quite well and it’s definitely a keeper. The image is actually from a photo I took when I was there in 2012.
If you’re new to this annual event, bonjour! And if you’re a returning friend, welcome back! Either way, I hope you enjoy your stay and check in throughout April for the month-long festivities!
