The idea for Paris Month initially began in early 2012, in anticipation of my first trip to Paris. The City of Lights has been the #1 place I’ve always wanted to visit, and I thought what better way to commemorate this than to start a month celebrating all things Paris!
The kick-off post for the first Paris Month in April 2012 detailed all the Parisian festivities to come, as well as highlighting the guest posts for the month, such as:
- Reviews of books set in Paris, such as The Paris Wife and Die For Me
- Interviews with the authors of previously mentioned books, Paula McLain & Amy Plum.
- Guest bloggers talking about the delicious French pastries, the Eiffel Tower & the Louvre or the love of Anna and the French Kiss.
- Highlights and photographs of my trip to Paris, with a Parisian-themed giveaway at the end of the month
Paris Month 2012 was so much fun and such success that I decided to turn it into an annual event, hopefully making it bigger and better with each year. Plans have already begun for Paris Month 2013, and the schedule is almost fully packed with even more book features & reviews, guest posts, author features and more!
While I won’t be able to visit every year (to my dismay!), my goal for this annual Paris Month blog event is to allow me a chance to reminisce about my love for this beautiful city and to have an opportunity to share it with all of you.
